These are genune black onyx, not quartz.   They have a heavier feel, and shiny polish.   Faceted teardrop shape measures 10mm long by 7mm diameter.   Most strings are very black with just a slight dark coffee tint.  There are some strings which do have a more coffee brown look, you can choose.
