These are jumbo!   It is a heavy , dense stone, in a lovely grass green color.  Faceting all over adds extra sparkle.  More rounded, chunky shapes, Size averages 24-28mm long, by 16-20mm diameter.  

Vesuvianite, also known as idocrase, is a silicate mineral which was first discovered on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius in southern Italy. Completely transparent material is rare; it is usually included and/or slightly cloudy in appearance. It is not normally treated. Hardness: 6.5 (Mohs).
