Akoya Pearls, 16" string
Lovely, deep shimmer, these have a nice luster, with a more baroque shape. They have a more baroque shape, 9-10mm diameter. Very white color, with blue & pink overtones.
These are called Akoya because they are cultured in the same way saltwater Akoya's are, but in a specific freshwater pearl mussel.
They generally have a nucleus of mother of pearl, which can give them a more reflective nacre.
